Hi everyone,
Readme.txt ##### Precision M4600 DRIVER CAB VERSION A00 R300452 ##### Description.
I am trying to get my audio system on my dell precision m4600 working, using fedora 14. Unfortunately it doesn't work out-of-box for me.
Everything was going great when I checked Dell's support web page and found the driver for my laptop (for Red Hat though, but should work on fedora):
Custom Instructions for dell-alsa-driver-1.0.23-112_dkms.noarch.rpm:
1. Make sure 'dkms' rpm is installed in the system.
2. Now, install the audio driver as below:
rpm -ivh dell-alsa-driver-1.0.23-112_dkms.noarch.rpm
3. Reboot the system
So, I try this way1. Make sure 'dkms' rpm is installed in the system.
2. Now, install the audio driver as below:
rpm -ivh dell-alsa-driver-1.0.23-112_dkms.noarch.rpm
3. Reboot the system
and then
Unfortunately, the process fails with error:
I don't give up, try to run the dkms dell alsa driver build for my current kernel
Unfortunately, also this command returns an error
which I have no clue how to solve also because the log file is kind of empty
Any suggestion?
Cheers
